About Spiritus Partners

We're a growing company building software for safety assurance in healthcare and other industry settings.  We’re looking for people excited about working with new technologies including blockchain and containerisation, and using them to build innovative solutions to critical safety problems which impact lives.

Inspired by shared value principles, Spiritus supports innovation at the intersection of business, society and the academy.

Our offices in Edinburgh's New Town are conveniently located for public transport, and we offer flexibility around working hours and the option to work from home.

As the first test engineer in the company, you’ll have a key role in ensuring that our safety assurance software performs well as we roll it out to clients in healthcare, energy and other sectors.  You will write and execute comprehensive test scripts in collaboration with the developers and business analysts.  You’ll also write bug reports, build automated tests, and lead the testing team as the company expands.

This is an opportunity to have a big influence on company culture and direction in an energising environment, and work with new technologies on a greenfield project.  Our product is built from containerised Node.js microservices, and uses blockchain technology as a key component.

You'll lead the improvement and expansion of the testing capabilities of the CI/CD pipeline, writing integration, functional and non-functional tests, and have key input on the testing frameworks and technologies we use to ensure the robustness of our platform.

You will feel comfortable working on your own initiative, and have excellent communication skills. You'll be working closely with a small development team in a dynamic environment.
