We're building a platform to improve safety and security of medical devices and equipment at the point of care, using cutting edge technologies including blockchain, and we’re looking for versatile technologists to join our team.
Our innovative product consists of chain of custody, service history, and analytics services supporting an instrumented, interoperable and intelligent digital ecosystem, for medical devices and equipment.
Our offices in Edinburgh's New Town are conveniently located for public transport, and we offer the option of working from home when appropriate.
You will craft high-quality, efficient, reusable, modular software in collaboration with our team, for our ground-breaking, cloud-based system for tracking medical devices throughout their lifecycle, and support the ongoing integration and automation of numerous systems.
You are comfortable leading a team as well as working on your own initiative. You'll be working in a dynamic environment, co-ordinating tasks with a small team of highly skilled colleagues.
4+ years of experience as a back-end engineer – designing and building quality code in a web-centric model
Ability to work on own initiative and co-ordinate work with others
Experience taking the lead on projects and mentoring and coaching junior developers
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with front-end dev teams
Experience with agile methods
Good understanding of REST APIs, containerisation and Microservices
Working knowledge of / experience with DevOps model (Jenkins/Travis)
Experience with application and data security and encryption
Sound knowledge of QA and automated testing
Meticulous attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication, experience with customer contact
Thorough documentation and proper test coverage
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
Healthcare industry experience
Exposure to distributed ledger tech (e.g. Hyperledger, Corda, Ethereum)
